Standard Cancellation Policy

We kindly request a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours' notice by 6:00 PM the previous day to adhere to our cancellation policy for any scheduled visits. Cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours may incur a full charge. Please note that limited exemptions may apply at our discretion, especially concerning our holiday booking fee for pet care services.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy

For the safety of the pet sitter, Clients, and their pets, our cancellation policy allows for services to be cancelled with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice if weather conditions create unsafe travel conditions or prevent safe access to the Client’s home. In these instances, pet care services can be rescheduled without charge, which is the only exception to our cancellation policy. Please note that a holiday booking fee may apply during peak times.

Same-Day, Last-Minute Booking Policy

To help accommodate schedule adjustments or last-minute care needs, our cancellation policy allows for requests made within eight (8) hours or less of the scheduled service time to be accepted based on availability. Please note that a $5 per-visit last-minute booking fee will apply.

This approach enables me to continue delivering reliable, high-quality pet care services while also making room for urgent requests whenever possible, especially during busy seasons that may involve a holiday booking fee.

Weekend Service Policy (Excludes Holiday & Vacation Bookings)

Laura Robel’s Pet Services LLC is closed for standard pet care services on weekends, with the exception of approved holiday and vacation bookings. Weekend services are offered strictly based on availability. Notably, vacation bookings that include three (3) or more visits per day do not incur an additional holiday booking fee.

Please be aware that weekend services are subject to a $10 per-visit weekend service fee. Additionally, ensure you understand our cancellation policy to avoid any unexpected charges.

Major Holiday Bookings Policy

Major Holiday Booking Fee (individual bookings)

An additional holiday booking fee of $25.00 is applied per visit on all major holidays for our pet care services.

Major Holiday Weekend Fee:

A $15 per-visit fee applies to all services scheduled on major holiday weekends during high-demand periods. This includes Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day weekend, and peak holiday weekends from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day.

Holiday Package Discount Rate:

A reduced rate of $75.00 per day is applicable for package bookings involving four or more visits daily on all major holidays. Additionally, a $30 per day fee applies to all services scheduled on major holiday weekends during high-demand periods, including Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day weekend, and peak holiday weekends from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day.

Major holidays include:

New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Easter. Please also be aware of our cancellation policy when booking pet care services during these times.

Eeserved Dates)Deposit Policy for Vacation/Holiday Bookings

To secure your desired vacation and holiday dates, a holiday booking fee of 50% is kindly requested at the time of booking. This amount will be deducted from the total cost of our pet care services. The remaining balance is due no later than three (3) days before the initially scheduled service date; please remember that services will be paused if payment is not received by this deadline. Due to high demand and limited availability, our cancellation policy states that the deposit is non-refundable in the event of last-minute cancellations, schedule changes, or early returns.

In cases where flight cancellations occur due to nationally recognized severe weather, we may consider a partial or full reimbursement for documented, unforeseen circumstances. This policy aims to thoughtfully balance understanding essential disruptions with the operational considerations of reserved scheduling and blocked availability. Vacation Booking Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy states that cancellations submitted with less than fifteen (15) days' notice before the scheduled start date will incur a charge for the full remaining balance. However, for cancellations made one month or more in advance, a deposit refund or credit to the client's account will be issued, minus any applicable holiday booking fees. Please note that limited exemptions may apply concerning our pet care services.
