Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change! To help us provide reliable, dedicated care for every client, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice by 6:00 PM the evening before a scheduled visit whenever possible.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full service fee, as the time has been reserved specifically for your pet and may not be possible to offer to another client on short notice.
We understand that unexpected circumstances happen, and limited exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Laura Robel’s Pet Services LLC.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy

For the safety of the pet sitter, Clients, and their pets, our cancellation policy allows for services to be cancelled with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice if weather conditions create unsafe travel conditions or prevent safe access to the Client’s home. In these instances, pet care services can be rescheduled without charge, which is the only exception to our cancellation policy. Please note that a holiday booking fee may apply during peak times.

Same-Day, Last-Minute Booking Policy

To help accommodate schedule adjustments or last-minute care needs, our cancellation policy allows for requests made within eight (8) hours or less of the scheduled service time to be accepted based on availability. Please note that a $5 per-visit last-minute booking fee will apply.

This approach enables me to continue delivering reliable, high-quality pet care services while also making room for urgent requests whenever possible, especially during busy seasons that may involve a holiday booking fee.

Weekend Bookings

We’re happy to accommodate weekend pet care when our schedule allows! While Laura Robel’s Pet Services LLC is closed for standard pet care services on weekends, weekend visits may be available for approved vacation and holiday bookings.

Weekend services are offered based on availability and must be arranged in advance.

A $10 weekend service fee per visit applies to visits scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. This additional fee helps accommodate the extended scheduling required to provide care outside of our regular business days.

Weekend availability is limited, so advance booking is encouraged.

Major Holiday and Weekend Bookings Fees

Major Holiday Fee:

An additional holiday booking fee of $25.00 is applied per visit on all major holidays.

(New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Easter)

Major Holiday Weekend Fee:

$15 per-visit fee applies to all services scheduled on major holiday weekends during high-demand periods. ( Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day weekend, and peak holiday weekends from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day)

Vacation & Holiday Booking Deposit

We know how important it is to have peace of mind when you’re planning time away from home. To reserve your preferred vacation or holiday dates, a 50% booking deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is applied directly toward the total cost of your scheduled pet care services.

The remaining balance is due no later than five (5) days prior to your scheduled service start date. If payment has not been received by this deadline, services may be placed on hold until the balance is paid and the reservation is confirmed.

Because vacation and holiday dates are in high demand and are reserved exclusively for your pets, the booking deposit is non-refundable for last-minute cancellations, significant schedule changes, or early returns.

We also understand that unexpected travel disruptions can happen. If In the event that your flight is canceled due to nationally recognized severe weather or another documented, unforeseen circumstance, we may consider a partial or full reimbursement for unforeseen affected circumstances on a case-by-case basis scenario.

Our goal is to balance flexibility and understanding for our clients with the time, availability, and scheduling commitments required to reserve dedicated care for your pets.

Vacation Booking Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change, and we’ll always do our best to work with you when unexpected circumstances arise.

To protect the time reserved specifically for your pets, cancellations made less than fourteen (14) days before the scheduled start of services will be charged in ful for the lremaining balance of the reservation.

Cancellations made thirty (30) days or more in advance will be refunded in full or applied as a credit to your account.

Because vacation reservations require us to reserve your requested dates exclusively for your pets and may prevent us from accepting other bookings, these cancellation guidelines help us maintain availability and provide dependable care to all of our clients.

Limited exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Laura Robel’s Pet Services LLC.

Unexpected Travel Disruptions

We understand that travel plans can sometimes be affected by circumstances outside your control. If your flight is cancelled due to nationally recognized severe weather or another documented, unforeseen circumstance, we are happy to review the situation on a case-by-case basis.

Depending on the circumstances and availability, a partial or full reimbursement of applicable unused services may be considered.
Our policies are designed to provide consistency and fairness while allowing us to maintain the availability, scheduling, and quality of care our clients and their pets depend on. When unexpected situations arise, we will always do our best to work with you whenever reasonably possible.
